Powering Renewable Energy

Through Circular Waste Solutions

Lam Tak is expanding its circular organic waste platform into the bioenergy and renewable fuels sector, transforming underutilised waste streams into high-value, low-carbon energy resources.

Built on decades of experience in food waste collection and material recovery, our bioenergy division focuses on sourcing and supplying sustainable biomass and waste-based feedstocks to bio-refineries and energy producers worldwide. Through this expansion, we actively support the global transition toward renewable energy, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and circular economies.

From Organic Waste to Renewable Energy

Lam Tak’s bioenergy business is a natural extension of our core expertise in complex waste supply chains. By leveraging our established food waste collection network and deep on-the-ground sourcing capabilities, we connect fragmented waste streams directly to bio-refineries.

Our integrated approach enables:

Our mission is to localise circular economies in the regions we operate, while delivering measurable carbon reductions across the energy value chain.

Biofuel & Biomass Feedstocks

Lam Tak supplies a range of waste-derived and biomass feedstocks suitable for renewable fuel production.

UCO is collected from restaurants, food manufacturers, and industrial kitchens.

Lam Tak sources, aggregates, and supplies UCO as sustainable feedstock for biodiesel and SAF production. Biofuels derived from UCO can deliver up to 84% greenhouse gas emission reductions compared to conventional fossil fuels.

In addition to UCO, we also source and trade:

  • Distressed or off-spec non-food-grade vegetable oil cargoes
  • Animal fats unfit for human or animal consumption

All materials are handled in accordance with sustainability and traceability requirements.

POME is a wastewater by-product generated during palm oil milling operations and represents a valuable waste-based feedstock for renewable fuel production when properly managed.

Lam Tak sources and supplies POME-based feedstock to bio-refineries for use in biodiesel and renewable diesel applications. We work closely with upstream producers and downstream buyers to ensure materials meet market-specific sustainability, traceability, and certification requirements.

POME supplied through Lam Tak is ISCC-certified and eligible for double counting, supporting compliance with international renewable energy and carbon reduction frameworks.

Wood pellets are an increasingly important renewable energy source used for co-firing, heat generation, and thermal energy production, replacing carbon-intensive fossil fuels.

Our bio-pellets are produced from clean, non-toxic, and sustainable biomass, without harmful additives. In addition to conventional wood pellets, Lam Tak is actively developing alternative biomass pellets from underutilised agricultural residues.

These include waste streams such as durian husks and other agricultural by-products, converting materials that would otherwise be inefficiently disposed of or openly burned into valuable renewable fuels.

Industrial-Scale UCO Collection

Turn Waste into Value

Lam Tak offers industrial-scale UCO collection services for food manufacturers and commercial central kitchens.

We collect your used cooking oil, pay you upon collection, and ensure it is responsibly converted into renewable fuels. This allows businesses to:

Generate additional income

Improve waste management practices

Contribute directly to the production of biodiesel and renewable energy

Whether you are a bio-refinery, energy producer, waste generator, or technology provider, we welcome collaboration opportunities.
